Special Instructions for Government Employees and PwD Candidates

1. Government Employees: Candidates currently employed in government service must submit a “No Objection Certificate” (NOC) issued by the competent authority. The NOC must be uploaded during the application process. No NOC will be accepted after the online submission.

2. Persons with Disabilities (PwD):

   • PwD candidates with a minimum of 40% disability (OH – One Arm and One Leg, LV – Low Vision, HI – Hearing Impaired) are eligible for reservation under the PwD category.
   • Eligible candidates must produce a valid PwD Certificate or UDID card issued by a competent authority during the application process. Candidates eligible for a scribe must obtain a certificate from the District Commissioner.

Eligibility Criteria and Selection Process of DSE Assam Government Secondary Schools Recruitment 2024

1. Recognized Degrees: Only degrees, courses, and programs recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) will be accepted.

2. Recruitment Test: A common recruitment test will be conducted for both Graduate and Post Graduate Teachers for Government and Provincialised Schools. The test will be 2½ hours long and consist of 140 questions, with 1 mark per question.

   • There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer.
   • The question paper will be provided in Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, and English languages, but in case of any discrepancies, the English version will be considered the official one.

3. Merit List Preparation: A draft merit list will be prepared, with two candidates shortlisted for every vacancy. A final merit list will be published after verification. The merit list will be prepared based on the TET and Recruitment Test scores.

4. Selection Criteria:

   • If two candidates score the same marks, the one with higher marks in the written test will be selected.
   • In the case of a tie, the candidate with an earlier date of birth will be given preference.
   • If the tie persists, the selection will be made by a draw of lots.

5. District and Medium Preferences: There will be no preference for districts in appointments. The decision will be made randomly. Candidates must select their preferred examination venue during the online application process.

• Examination Venues: The examination will be held in Cachar, Dibrugarh, Jorhat, Kamrup, Kamrup Metro, Kokrajhar, Lakhimpur, Nalbari, and Sonitpur districts.
