Key Responsibilities of the HRBP Role

As the Manager – HRBP, your primary responsibility is to work closely with business teams to address key issues related to diversity, culture, performance management, learning and development, and compliance. The role demands aligning HR practices with business goals to boost organizational performance.

1. Strategic HR Alignment: Ensure that business objectives are met through effective people management practices. Your role will involve identifying and scaling best HR practices tailored for the organization.
2. HR Project Management: Initiate and lead HR projects at both the regional and national levels, demonstrating deep strategic HR knowledge.
3. Workforce Management: Manage the lifecycle and retention of the blue-collar workforce across the Fulfillment and Sortation Centers within your jurisdiction.
4. Employee Relations and Networking: Build effective relationships with employees and managers to create a positive work environment and promote a “People First” culture.
5. Talent Management and Development: Implement strategies for talent management, mentoring, and coaching junior to mid-level management for both people and business practices.
6. Change Management: Oversee HR changes that impact the workforce, ensuring smooth transitions while maintaining organizational stability.
7. Analytics and Reporting: Develop tools and reports to analyze employee data, providing proactive solutions for workforce challenges and fostering a healthy work environment.
8. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with HR teams and business stakeholders to drive organizational goals and ensure the effective use of HR resources.

Ideal Candidate Profile

To excel in this role, you should have:

• 8+ years of experience in HRBP roles within industries like FMCG, FMCD, e-commerce, pharma, or beverages.
• Expertise in Employee Relations (ER)/Industrial Relations (IR): Hands-on experience in addressing labor issues and a thorough understanding of labor laws.
• Strong HR Concepts: Proficiency in implementing strategic HR interventions and lifecycle activities like performance appraisals, goal setting, and leadership coaching.
• Leadership and Change Management Skills: Proven ability to drive change and lead strategic HR initiatives.
• Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a proven track record in team and stakeholder management.

The HRBP role at Flipkart Guwahati involves managing a small but effective team of three on-roll employees and one off-roll resource. The primary focus is the HR needs of the Assam and Northeast region, providing leadership and guidance to ensure the team meets business objectives.
