  1. Biologist
  2. Sociologist

1. Biologist Position

The Biologist role at Kaziranga National Park is ideal for those with a passion for wildlife conservation and a background in natural sciences. Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • Essential Qualification (EQ):

    • Master’s degree with at least 60% aggregate marks in fields such as Wildlife Science, Zoology, Botany, Life Science, Forestry, Conservation Biology, Remote Sensing & GIS, or related disciplines.
    • Fluency in both Assamese (spoken) and English is mandatory.
  • Desirable Qualification (DQ):

    • At least one year of field experience is preferred.
    • Knowledge of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and statistical software for data analysis will give candidates an advantage.
    • Experience in study design, report writing, and editing or desktop publishing is desirable.
    • A candidate already registered for a Ph.D. or with a strong interest in scientific research is highly favored.
    • Experience in conservation studies, especially in areas like Kaziranga, is a significant plus.
  • Monthly Remuneration: Rs. 30,000 per month, plus House Rent Allowance (HRA) as per rules.

2. Sociologist Position

The Sociologist position focuses on the socio-environmental aspects of Kaziranga National Park’s conservation efforts, making it suitable for candidates interested in community conservation and social research.

  • Essential Qualification (EQ):

    • Master’s degree with at least 60% aggregate marks in Social Sciences, Geography, Environmental Sciences, Sociology, or related disciplines.
    • Fluency in both Assamese (spoken) and English is mandatory.
  • Desirable Qualification (DQ):

    • A minimum of one year of experience in field research is preferred.
    • Knowledge of social survey tools and software is advantageous.
    • Experience in study design, report writing, editing, and desktop publishing is highly desirable.
    • Candidates who are either registered for a Ph.D. or have a strong interest in community conservation studies are encouraged to apply.
