NERIST is offering the following positions, each with a specified pay level:

• Librarian: 1 post (UR) – Pay Level 10
• Assistant Professor: 33 posts – Pay Level 10
• Associate Professor: 17 posts – Pay Level 13A
• Professor: 5 posts – Pay Level 14

Qualification Requirements for NERIST Recruitment 2024

Each position comes with distinct qualification requirements based on the field of specialization:

Librarian:

• Educational Qualifications: Master’s degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation Science with at least 55% marks.
• Additional Requirements: NET qualification is mandatory. Ph.D. in Library Science is desirable.
• Age Limit: Not exceeding 35 years.

Department-Specific Openings

NERIST offers positions across multiple departments. Below are the key vacancies:

1. Department of Agricultural Engineering:

• Assistant Professor: Candidates must have a B.E./B. Tech. in Agricultural Engineering and an M.E./M. Tech. in Food Process Engineering. A Ph.D. in a related field is desirable.
• Associate Professor: B.E./B. Tech. in Agricultural Engineering, M.E./M. Tech. in Farm Machinery, Soil & Water Engineering, or Renewable Energy, and a Ph.D. in the relevant fields.

2. Department of Civil Engineering:

• Assistant Professor: A B.E./B. Tech. in Civil Engineering with an M.E./M. Tech. in the same field is required. A Ph.D. is preferable.
• Associate Professor and Professor: The same qualifications as Assistant Professor, with a focus on areas like Structural Engineering, Water Resources, and Geotechnical Engineering.

3. Department of Electrical Engineering:

• Associate Professor: B.E./B. Tech. in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering with an M.E./M. Tech. and Ph.D. in relevant fields such as Power Systems, Control Systems, or VLSI.
• Professor: The same as Associate Professor but with broader expertise in Power Electronics, Soft Computing, and Control Engineering.

4. Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering:

• Assistant Professor: B.E./B. Tech. and M.E./M. Tech. in Electronics & Communication Engineering. Ph.D. is desirable in areas like Signal Processing, 5G and Beyond, IoT, and Nanotechnology.
• Associate Professor and Professor: Similar qualifications with expertise in advanced fields like Artificial Intelligence, RF and Microwave Engineering, and Photonics.

5. Department of Mechanical Engineering:

• Assistant Professor: B.E./B. Tech. and M.E./M. Tech. in Mechanical Engineering. Ph.D. in fields like Fluid Dynamics, Combustion, or Machine Design is desirable.
• Professor: Expertise in Additive Manufacturing, Solid Mechanics, and AI in Mechanical Systems is required along with a Ph.D.

6. Department of Computer Science and Engineering:

• Assistant Professor: B.E./B. Tech. and M.E./M. Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering or IT. Ph.D. is preferred in areas such as AI, Blockchain, Cybersecurity, and Robotics.
• Associate Professor: The same as Assistant Professor but with a focus on Data Science, Machine Learning, and Quantum Computing.

7. Department of Forestry:

• Assistant Professor: B.Sc. in Forestry or Biological Sciences and M.Sc. in Forestry with NET or Ph.D. in relevant fields like Silviculture, Agroforestry, or Forest Resource Management.

8. Department of Physics:

• Assistant Professor: M.Sc. in Physics with NET or Ph.D. in fields like Condensed Matter Physics, Nuclear Physics, or Nanotechnology.
• Associate Professor: M.Sc. and Ph.D. in similar fields with advanced expertise in areas like Spectroscopy and Theoretical Physics.

9. Department of Chemistry:

• Assistant Professor: M.Sc. in Chemistry with NET or Ph.D. in Inorganic, Organic, or Physical Chemistry.
• Associate Professor: Ph.D. in relevant fields like Bioinorganic Chemistry, Supramolecular Chemistry, or Green Chemistry.
