Role and Responsibilities of IT Expert in TCP Assam

The IT Expert will play a crucial role in the GIS Geo-Hub Portal project, ensuring the seamless implementation and maintenance of IT infrastructure. Key responsibilities include:

1. Development and Maintenance:
   
   • Design and oversee GIS-based web portals.
   • Ensure data security and system optimization.
   • Maintain and update the project’s technology framework.
2. Project Coordination and Data Integration:
   
   • Collaborate with different departments to facilitate data sharing.
   • Assist in developing user-friendly GIS applications for both web and mobile platforms.
   • Design and implement APIs for effective data exchange.
3. Technical Oversight and Security:
   
   • Manage servers for application hosting and data processing.
   • Monitor and optimize server performance and security measures.
   • Ensure smooth integration of GIS tools and applications.
4. Reporting and Documentation:
   
   • Prepare technical reports and maintain documentation of processes.
   • Provide updates on project progress and conduct data analysis.

Eligibility Criteria for TCP Assam IT Expert Recruitment 2025

Educational Qualifications:

Candidates must have a B.Tech/B.E in Computer Science, IT, Electronics & Communication or an M.Sc. in Computer Science or Master’s in Computer Application (MCA).

Work Experience Requirements:

• At least 5 years of post-education work experience in government projects, schemes, or IT-related roles.
• Experience in application development and platform management.
• Strong knowledge in web portal development.
• Expertise in IT system administration and security.
• Preferred experience in GeoServer, ArcGIS Server, and AI projects.
• Experience with State Data Centre (SDC) servers is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with GIS software and tools such as ArcGIS, QGIS, GeoServer, and MapServer.

Required Technical Skills for TCP Assam IT Expert

• Programming Languages: JavaScript, ASP.NET, Python
• Database Management: PostgreSQL with PostGIS, MySQL (preferred)
• Web Development: HTML, CSS, JavaScript

Supervision & Reporting
